I am a professional dancer and certified Mat Pilates teacher. My teaching approach is flexible and diversified according to the needs, skills, and objectives of the individual and/or group. Mat Pilates technique includes a form of mind-body training as well as intense physical movement, with the support of small equipment such as softball, theraband, yoga block, small weight, if needed and required.
There is a strong focus on breathing and the activation of deep muscles starting from the centre of the body. The activation of the core is of fundamental importance to obtain a good awareness of one's body and to be able to work efficiently with other muscles by going towards the extremities of the body. Achieving a balanced psycho-physical alignment is the goal. Awareness, precision, balance, concentration, center, harmony, breath, flow, efficiency, and control are the principles on which the methodology I teach towards the achievement of well-being is based. I like to make my students feel at ease and make sure that at the end of the lesson they feel connected with themselves and with their bodies, ready to face the rest of the day with serenity.
